Daisy could not believe it when she got a better look at it…
Many people are moved to tears when they witness homeless dogs, and Daisy was no exception. After noticing the same Labrador in the park for five days in a row, Daisy decided she wanted to give the pup a forever home.
She was determined to win the dog over with treats and toys, and it seemed to work. As she was stroking it, she noticed it had a collar on.
A collar?
Daisy was astonished when she experienced it while caressing the abandoned dog. Had the pooch ever had a neckband on?
She had not taken note of it beforehand since her hair was covering it up. Does that imply that the pup had a master? Someone searching for it?

The pooch was so famished that it couldn’t turn down the meal and gradually advanced nearer. Daisy observed that his body was rigid.

Nobody opened the door

They questioned what their next step should be. Should they pursue the canine, or would that be deemed a criminal trespass?
In the back yard
John was in the lead while his spouse was attempting to uncover any hints or people in the rear of the residence. She was desperate to crack this enigma and was wishing to locate the inhabitant of the home in the backyard.
Although Daisy was not lucky enough to discover any living creature, she did come across something else.
The broken door
Daisy encountered a rear entrance that seemed to be ajar. Under normal circumstances, she wouldn’t have considered going into someone else’s house through the back, but this entryway was practically falling apart.
Daisy was in a quandary. Was she daring enough to enter an unfamiliar house located in a potentially threatening area?
Calling John to come
At the same time, Daisy understood that reuniting with the Labrador was the most significant thing to her.
She was prepared to take the gamble and she was fairly certain that nobody would be in the building right now. But it would be prudent to ask John to come around to the rear.
An abandoned-looking house
John was taken aback by her confidence, and realized that Daisy was adamant about her decision. He ultimately gave in.
He had no other option than to accompany her and ensure that his partner would remain secure within the strange building that had an air of abandonment.
Walls covered in gravity
With a loud rattling sound, the door swung open, and Daisy was uncertain if it would ever shut again.
They cautiously entered, and it was instantly clear that nobody had been in this place for a long time. The walls were caked in grime, and most objects looked aged or ruined.
Was somebody there?
The entire area had a disagreeable ambiance and Daisy began to wonder increasingly why this canine was so devoted to the residence. Had the pooch been residing here the whole time? All alone?
Why is there a set of coordinates around the labrador’s neck? Someone must have come here or is here presently.
The tiny stairs
All of the space downstairs was empty and there were no hints about anyone or any canine being present. John did discover the stairway to the second story, though.
The only option remaining was that the labrador had vaulted up the little steps. When the two were gazing upwards, they heard a recognizable barking noise once more.
Old man in bed
They ascended quickly, and when Daisy arrived in the room at the summit of the stairs, she noticed a genial labrador lying on the mattress. It seemed that the canine was not unaccompanied.
Next to it, tucked away beneath the sheets, was an aged and feeble-looking individual caressing the creature. Initially, the gentleman did not raise his gaze when the duo came into the area and he seemed to be in a very poor condition.
He started talking
Eventually, he became aware of Daisy and John situated in the far part of the room. He appeared to be disturbed, while the pair was at a loss for words.
The labrador was completely thrilled to be reunited with the old man and his companion. This calmed the elderly gentleman, and after a short period of time, the trio began to converse.
A long conversation
The elderly person began to voice his thoughts in a hushed volume, pausing after each word. Daisy and John discovered that he had resided in the same antiquated home for a lengthy period of time.
The prior occupants had simply departed it and no one had any desire to purchase or offer the property because of its poor state.
Jacko the labrador
The pup was given the moniker Jacko and it was a labrador retriever owned by the past inhabitants.
It seemed that they had abandoned Jacko with the house. The individual had been without a home for a long time, however when he found refuge in the desolate location one night, he and the pup quickly became attached.
Jacko’s collar

He requested that an acquaintance of his pick up Jacko and deliver him to the park where he could begin an exciting new life.
They had to separate
The elderly gentleman wanted somebody to appreciate the labrador. He implored Daisy and John to adopt the pooch and treat Jacko in the best way possible, as it was his last wish.
He was thankful they brought the creature to him so he could have one final farewell, but once that was over it was time to part ways.
Adopting the dog!
The pair, astounded by the news, extended an offer of a lift to a medical facility to the chap. However, he denied the offer, articulating that he had finished with life and merely desired to depart this life in tranquility.
It was hard for them to let him go, yet when Daisy proclaimed that they would gladly accept the canine as Jacko’s final request, their hearts melted as they saw his eyes well up with feeling. They realized that this was the correct decision.
