Closed doors
The officers rushed out of the bathroom, closed the door, and demanded the key to the door! Sandra was overwhelmed; what did the officer find in the sink?! There was no time for questions. The officer shut down the door and told Sandra to come with him… Sandra was outside the bathroom at the time, so she didn’t know what was going on.
All she saw was the sense of urgency and got swept up in it. She followed the officer, not knowing what was happening. The other officers were in a hurry, running around and talking to each other in hushed tones. It was clear that something was going on, but Sandra had no idea what it was. She was just glad that she wasn’t in the bathroom when the officers had their sense of urgency. Whatever it was, it must have been serious.
The stranger again
Just when Sandra and the officer were about to leave, Sandra saw the stranger of earlier that day walking toward the building. She didn’t recognise him as a resident or a neighbour, but it was already the second time she saw him today. Sandra was sure to remember his face… He was wearing the same clothes as this morning, and he was looking around suspiciously.
Sandra felt a chill run down her spine. She was about to tell the officer about the man, but he had already left. She was left with a feeling of unease. Could this man have something to do with the break-in? She had a feeling that he was up to no good. She decided to keep an eye out for him in the future, just in case.
