Had Missy escaped?
The longer Sandra was searching, the more worried she got. Could the animal possibly have found a way out and run away? She always made sure that the doors were locked when she went to sleep. But when she saw the open bathroom door, she was stopped in her tracks by a devastating realisation. Sandra kept replaying the events of the night before in her head, trying to remember if she had truly locked everything up. She was sure that she had, but it was impossible to know for sure.
She was filled with dread at the thought that Missy could have slipped out without her noticing. She started to panic, imagining all the terrible things that could have happened to her beloved pet. She had to find her, and fast. She started to run around the house, checking every nook and cranny, desperately hoping to find Missy safe and sound. Sandra started to think of all the places Missy could have gone. She thought of the nearby park, the woods, and the lake. She was filled with dread at the thought of Missy being out in the cold, alone and scared.
