Dogs Have A Sense

Amanda realized that her dog had been the one to warn her about it. His random barking had led to them getting checkups. It was Rover, with his acute senses, who had detected the subtle changes in Leigh’s blood.

The dog’s incessant barking was his way of alerting Amanda to the hidden danger that lurked within her seemingly healthy baby. But was that all Rover saw?

Change In Scent

Dr. Bennett hesitated before speaking. “Leigh has a rare blood condition. It’s asymptomatic, but Rover seems to have detected it. “We’ll have to do more tests and see that she is well hydrated before we start treatment immediately.”

The doctor marveled at Amanda’s story about Rover warning her. Dogs have an incredible sense of smell, and it appears that Rover sensed something was off with Leigh’s blood.
