Although the Bullmastiff looks tough, they are known for being very gentle dogs, and very hardworking (thanks to their muscular build). Bred from a Bulldog and a Mastiff, these dogs make great guard dogs, but they can be stubborn which makes training difficult. Standing as high as 27 inches and between 100-130 lbs, they are a whole LOT of dog! When beginning training, it is best to begin obedience and socialization while the puppy is still small enough to control.
