Chow Chows are often compared to lions, thanks to their honey-colored fur and teddy-bear faces. Perhaps the most distinct and interesting characteristic is their black tongues! The Chow Chow can be traced back to ancient China and they are known for being dignified, serious-minded, and very aloof. Socialization and training should occur when they are puppies, as training them will be more difficult as they get older. An adaptable and chill breed, they can enjoy a fulfilling life in the country or in the city.
