Lakeland Terrier
via Wikipedia Commons
The Lakeland Terrier was named after the Lake District in England and was often used by farmers to help protect their sheep from foxes. These guys may look unassuming, but they are a mischievous and zesty breed and are known for getting into trouble, which can make them difficult for first-time owners. Standing at less than 15 inches and weighing around 17 pounds, you may think this breed is small, but don’t tell them that! Their big personalities make up for what they lack in size.
