Great Pyrenees

The powerful and polar bear-like characteristics make this dog a great protection dog from sheep-stealing wolves and other predators. They can stand as high as 32 inches at the shoulder and can often weigh more than 100 pounds. They may look calm and chill, but they are always ready to jump into action. With all their energy, the Great Pyrenees can often become bored with training and will find other ways to occupy themselves (not necessarily in a positive way). Their lush coat makes them great for snowy conditions, and their colors come in a range of white, gray, tan, and reddish-brown.
