Grace’s journey with blindness was almost unavoidable, having been born with inherited glaucoma. Despite this, her cheerful demeanor has not been affected. Since she was a puppy, her life was destined to include this condition, yet it hasn’t hindered her joyful personality.
Among Grace’s most treasured moments are those spent with her best friend, her grandma Gigi. Visits from Gigi are special; the sound of her voice is all it takes to make Grace light up with excitement. Shelby, Grace’s mom, shared with The Dodo: “It’s pretty incredible how well Grace has adjusted to being blind.
Grace’s enthusiasm for life is evident in her interactions and activities. She enjoys wandering around and socializing, but she particularly loves curling up for a nap with her family. Shelby notes that Grace enjoys being held like a baby, always eager to be in the company of those she loves.
Grace is friendly to everyone she meets, yet she shares a unique bond with her grandma Gigi. Her family cherishes every moment with her, celebrating the joy she brings into their lives.
