Getting Closer

The meowing immediately made Carlita feel unintimidated. The high pitch meant it was coming from a small animal.
She decided to investigate the animal and make sure it was okay.
She got closer than she should have and shined a flashlight on the ledge. There she saw a small kitten shaking and meowing at her. It seemed it was in need of rescuing.
