She knew just how hungry these animals were. She knew that most would do almost anything to have something in their belly.
The idea of handing out free food was heaven-sent for these animals. It was a Hail Mary for the strays that found it hard to hunt on their own. Such a realization made the occurrence with the cat very confusing.
