Monika was a year old when she began acting strangely. It all started when she was seen moving around the zoo with a swollen belly. One day, Alice opened the door to her office and Monika slipped out. For over a year, they had managed to keep her mostly inside, only ever letting her leave for short walks on a leash.
But on rare occasions, she would slip out and only return after a few days. That was how she fell pregnant. But this time around, days went by and Monika hadn’t returned. How was she going to fend for herself out there?
