7. Carolina Dog
Native Americans domesticated these rare dogs for centuries after crossing the Bering Land Bridge into North America and naming them Carolina Dogs. Some species remain wild today, near the South Carolina-Georgia border. Before they recognize new people as members of the pack, they tend to be cautious around them.
