Social Media
While immersed in her work, Jane takes a momentary break to browse through her social media feed. As she scrolls down, a video catches her attention on one of the local cat pages. Curiosity piqued, she clicks on it and watches intently. The footage depicts a cat, strikingly similar to Spike, pouncing and successfully capturing a bird in the park. A sinking feeling settles in Jane’s gut as she reads the caption accompanying the video.
The person who posted it pleads for the cat’s owner to come and retrieve their feline companion. Her eyes widen, and she watches the video once more, this time scrutinizing it more closely. And then, it hits her.
Jane’s heart skips a beat as she notices a distinctive collar on the cat in the video, one that matches the one Spike wears. A sense of both shock and confusion washes over her. Could it be possible that Spike has been leading a double life? Could he be the cat in the video, engaging in a behavior that is completely out of character for him?
