Who’s There
The kitchen was definitely making noises, and his heart raced. Things seemed to be moving around. His knuckles were white from gripping the bat so tightly.
In defense of his family, he was ready. In anticipation, he waited, but nothing happened. Upon entering the kitchen, he switched on the light.
As usual, Mittens was seated in front of the oven.
