Nostalgia
The old stove from Ben’s grandmother was a keepsake he wanted to keep since they renovated the kitchen. In view of how much grandma loved it, he couldn’t easily throw it away.
Her favorite spot was in front of the old stove and she would star at the oven for hours on end. He could’ve sworn the cat was acting like his grandmother.
She sat in front of it while her bread was baking.
