Why Cats Like Sleeping in Sinks
House cats’ habit of sleeping in bathroom sinks is hard to explain. While it may seem strange, there are a handful of theories for why cats find this spot cozy.

One explanation is that they like the cool, smooth surface of the sink—its contour makes them feel safe. The quietness of bathrooms and the elevated position of the sink may also appeal to cats. While this behavior shouldn’t be a cause for concern, it might be if your cat is consistently seeking water. If that’s the case, consult a vet to rule out any underlying medical issues.
