The Patagonian Mara, known by many as a kangaroo-hare hybrid, is a truly unique and fascinating animal. As the fourth-largest rodent in the world, they boast many interesting characteristics that set them apart from other creatures. Despite their lack of genetic relation to either kangaroos or hares, they share a few behaviors with them, such as the ability to communicate through grunts and squeals. But what really sets the Patagonian Mara apart is their incredible leaping ability. They can jump up to an impressive six feet in the air.
