13. A Friendship is Born in an Unlikely Place
One day, Tommy decided to approach the dog. He snuck some food out of the house—a sandwich and an apple—and carefully placed it on the ground near the dog.
At first, the dog was wary, but as Tommy backed away, she tentatively approached the food and began to eat.
