She padded over to the gravestone and began to sniff around, her tail wagging with excitement. The sun rose higher in the sky, casting a warm glow over the cemetery as the dog busied herself near the gravestone.
She pawed at the soft earth, digging small holes and then filling them in again. Her ears perked up as if listening for something.
