30. Burmese

Weight: 8-12 lbs
Lifespan: 9-13 Years
Average Price: $600-$1,000*

Most Burmese cats are descendants of a cat called Wong Mau, who was brought from her native Burma to America in 1930. She bred with an American Siamese cat, and that started the Burmese line. This domestic cat is affectionate, intelligent, and loyal, and one of his or her best qualities is that they love to learn new tricks.

These cats are also special because they are the only natural brown breed of cat. Their coat is usually a warm, rich sable brown, and the Burmese’s eyes are almost always gold. A kitten can cost between $600 and $1,000. If you’re looking for a specific color, you might end up paying $1,200-$2,500.
