The Oriental Shorthair was developed from the Siamese, and their bloodlines remain closely related. The cost of these cats varies based on the breeder, but buyers in North America can expect to pay $600 to $1,000. Excellent-pedigree Orientals, especially those that come from known breeders and have an impeccable appearance, will cost even more, with a price range of $1,500 to $3,000.
