The Ocicat looks like a wildcat, but it is domesticated. It has no wildcat DNA in its gene pool, though the breed is unusual because its coat has spots like a cat from the wilderness. It has the temperament of a domestic animal. The breed was created by crossing the Abyssinian and the Siamese.

The gentle, playful Ocicat is well-suited for family life, as long as your kids know how to act around him. He likes to learn tricks, play with interactive toys, and cuddle up with you on the couch. Male ocicats can weigh up to fifteen pounds, making these well-muscled, athletic felines larger than the average housecat.
