Just how humans have “handedness,” most cats also tend to favor one paw over the other. Interestingly, handedness in cats (and humans!) seems to be related to their gender.
Male cats are more likely to be left-pawed while females are typically right-pawed. As New Scientist reports, “hormone levels could explain [these] differences in paw choice.
