Going back to the shelter
Emily gently agreed, retrieved her jacket, and tucked the ring inside. She hurried to her vehicle, debating whether or not to take the cat with her, but ultimately deciding against it. During the trip there, she reflected on the events of the last few days. What did I fail to notice? Was she receiving any clarification at this point?
