While we maybe don’t always pay attention to our cat’s ear movements, it actually helps when you can’t understand your cat’s body language. For example, when their ears are lying flat against their head, it means they need protection against something.

Forward-pointing ears mean they are confident or curious about something. With ears positioned like this, they can listen to sounds when hunting prey, for example. Hunters will do this to execute a successful hunt.
