The best way to understand your cat’s behaviour is to actually understand their whole body language. Sometimes, it’s not enough for them to tell us what they’re feeling through their eyes, ears, or tails, so they use their whole body instead.

When a cat’s back is arched, be prepared for some cuddle time! If they get near you with an arched back, this means they want to be petted. However, if their back is arched and the hairs are up, this means they are frightened or angry.
