Cats have different meows and these meows also have different meanings. If you can’t tell the difference between an irritated meow and a playful meow, then you’re surely bound to get scratched. So, beware!

There are 4 common types of meows. A short and high-pitched meow would be their way of saying hi. Succeeding short meows would be like the cat equivalent of a dog jumping up and down. A drawn-out meow would mean they’re bored to death and probably irritated, too. A soft, pleading meow means they’re hungry and they want to be fed.
