She thought they were Belgian shepherds … but they turned out to be jackals!
Appearances can at times be deceiving. This is especially the case when it comes to wild dogs. In Croatia, a certain shelter was so happy to have rescued a box of puppies that very much resembled German Shepherds. The moment they grew up they started displaying certain odd habits.
When they examined the dogs closely, they realized that they were actually keeping jackals. It was unfortunate for the jackals that they had grown too used to being around human beings that they could no longer be taken to the wild. They therefore ended up under the care of one of the shelter employees who was of course granted permission to keep them. These pets really enjoyed domestic life now.
