I thought I had saved a hamster … but it turned out to be a Lemming from Norway!
From the looks of things, you can easily get confused and be mistaken when it comes to dogs and cats, but can this happen with hamsters? A father from Norway was certain that what he had rescued was a hamster. He had seen the hamster crossing the street and even wanted to help the hamster find his family.
When he took the hamster to a pet store, he was told that the animal was not what he thought it was, but was instead a Norwegian Lemming which is a wild rodent. It was returned to the wild not too long after.
